Journal Description:
The Salmand: Iranian Journal of Ageing is the official peer-reviewed journal of the Iranian Research Center on Aging. The journal is published quarterly in March, June, September, and December since 2006.
The Journal publishes peer-reviewed original articles and commissioned reviews on gerontology and geriatrics. Articles in the categories of Brief Communication, Case Report, and Letter to the Editor that may be of interest to researchers in gerontology and geriatrics are also accepted.
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
Iranian Journal of Ageing maintains the highest standards of peer review while increasing the efficiency of the process. This journal uses double-blind review, which means that both the reviewer and author identities are concealed from the reviewers, and vice versa, throughout the review process.
