اهداف: پژوهش حاضر با هدف کشف تجارب زیسته سالمندان از قرنطینه در دوران پاندمی بیماری کووید ـ 19 انجام شد.
مواد و روش ها: طرح این پژوهش، کیفی و به روش تحلیل محتوا بود. نمونه‌گیری در یک نمونه ده‌نفری به روش مبتنی بر هدف انجام شد و تا اشباع داده‌ها ادامه یافت. برای گردآوری داده‌ها از مصاحبه حضوری نیمه‌ساختاریافته استفاده شد. متن‌های حاصل از مصاحبه‌ها به‌وسیله روش کیفی تحلیل محتوا تحلیل شدند.
یافته ها: در نتیجه مصاحبه‌ها، دو مضمون اصلی پیامدهای منفی با مضمون‌های فرعی اضطراب بیماری، خلق پایین، اضطراب مرگ، تعارضات بین‌فردی، انزوای اجتماعی، محدودیت‌های درمانی و کاهش فعالیت‌های جسمانی و مضمون اصلی پیامدهای مثبت با مضمون‌های فرعی غنیمت شمردن فرصت‌های زندگی، رشد معنوی و بهبود سبک زندگی کشف شدند. هریک از مضمون‌های مذکور دارای چندین واحد معنایی حمایت‌کننده بودند.
نتیجه گیری: مضامین کشف‌شده بر اساس تجربه زیسته سالمندان، اطلاعات مفیدی در خصوص اثرات دوران قرنطینه بر سلامت جسمانی و روانی و کیفیت زندگی سالمندان به دست آورد که می‌تواند در برنامه‌ریزی‌ها و اقدامات درمانی مورد توجه قرار گیرد.
