Objective: The older adults have different needs in different living environments. Community-dwelling seniors often do not receive organized care. This study aimed to know the psycho-social needs of the older adults living in Kerman City in 2023.
Methods and materials: This study is a conventional content qualitative analysis. 25 participants were interviewed purposefully and with maximum variation. Data analysis was done using Guba and Lincoln criteria.
Results: Data analysis leads to five primary categories and twenty-five. These main categories encompass social inclusion and older adult well-being, safe and peaceful life, reduction of structural problems, older adult-aware community, and attention to the compounded aging issues.
Conclusions: Community-dwelling seniors have psychosocial needs that are less answered. Paying attention to these needs improves the quality of life and reduces their psychological and social consequences.
